Jacqueline Christy is Camp Jamison Corporation’s Founder and President. She was born, raised, and currently lives in Northeast Philadelphia. When she was 10 years old she was lucky enough to receive a brochure for a summer camp called Camp Neumann. After attending camp that first summer, her life was changed, and she went on to spend time there for the next nine summers both as a camper then as a counselor. The effects that summer camp had on her life is indescribable as seen in her creating and passion for the Camp Jamison Corporation. Jacqueline graduated from American University in 2008. She received her Masters in Education from Chestnut Hill College in 2010. From 2008 until 2015 she was a Middle School English teacher. She is now currently an Instructional Coach for Universal Companies.
Nicole Shirk is The Camp Jamison Corporation’s Vice President and Director of Outreach. She grew up in Huntingdon Valley Pa and graduated from Lower Moreland High School. She attended California University of Pennsylvania and graduated in December of 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. During Nicole’s student teaching experience she worked in Anne Frank Elementary School in Philadelphia teaching in the 3rd grade. She has also worked with several after school programs and camps. She is now currently working as an Elementary school teacher at a Charter School in Philadelphia.
John McGinnis has been a member of Camp Jamison's Board of Directors since 2013. He grew up in Vienna, Virginia. He graduated from James Madison High School. He attended Ferrum College for two years. John worked for Giant Foods for thirty years as a Meat Cutter and retired in 2011. John has been a counselor at Camp Jamison for five summers and is lovingly known as "Pappa John" to our campers.
Christina Mason joined Camp Jamison's Board of Directors in 2015. A native of Philadelphia, she earned a degree in Communications from La Salle University and her law degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC where she currently resides. She is a licensed attorney for the state of Maryland and works as a federal lobbyist on issues affecting the design and construction industry. Christina focuses her volunteer work on projects that help urban children successfully complete their education and give back to their communities in return.
Kati Rutkowski is originally from Virginia, she relocated to Philadelphia to teach after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA). She has taught in various neighborhoods around Philadelphia, in both public and charter schools, primarily in 2nd/3rd grade and with students with special needs. Most recently, Kati earned her Master's in Educational Leadership at Chestnut Hill College. She is currently an Early Literacy Specialist with the Children’s Literacy Initiative, working with teachers and students at Greenberg Elementary School in Northeast Philadelphia. Kati also coordinates the Counselor-In-Training Program for Camp Jamison, which builds leadership skills in 15-16 year old students.
Matthew Rounick is the Camp Jamison Corporation’s Treasurer. He was born and raised in Huntingdon Valley, PA and lives in Philadelphia. Matthew graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2012. He received his Masters in Accounting and a Bachelors in Finance. From 2013 until the present he is a Tax Account at Deloitte Tax LLP. Matthew is passionate about projects that help children develop into the leaders of the future.
